Position Summary

Working in a busy award-winning design department in one of the country’s top community and cultural centers, reporting to the Art Director, the position requires an ability to work quickly and efficiently on a broad range of print and digital design projects and other related materials. Experienced in a MAC environment, the graphic designer will work on individual and team assignments within the Marketing Department.

Essential Functions

  • Design, pre-press production and quality control of assigned projects
  • Assist in the design, production and coordination of catalog
  • Collaborate with marketing, editorial, CRM and web teams, as well as individual departments at 92Y to develop and implement projects/campaigns
  • Traffic work between departments
  • Maintain project and image filing systems
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors degree and / or comparable graphic design work experience.•
  • At least two years of experience in fast paced, deadline driven design department
  • Strong design ability and an excellent portfolio demonstrating these skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational, trafficking and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Posses good judgment and diplomacy with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud in a Mac environment
  • Pre-press production experience a must
  • Illustration skills a strong plus



40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm with a one hour unpaid break.
