Position Summary

Reporting to the Program Director and working closely with the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for the logistics and administrative functions of the Bronfman Center’s events, educational programs, special initiatives, and other global innovative projects within the Bronfman Center for Jewish Life.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in the coordination of Bronfman Center events, educational classes and programs including but not limited to dinners, Atid afterschool, Derekh Torah, holidays, special events, and festivals by being physically present at all events, completing all room requests, room set ups, and supply ordering ensuring all logistics are completed in a timely manner.
  • Be physically present at and assist in the administrative requirements of High Holiday services and global initiatives.
  • Collaborate on social media campaigns including but not limited to the High Holiday special initiatives.
  • Manage department monthly e-blasts, catalog copy, website updates and other communications and marketing materials.
  • Coordinate with teaching staff to order approved ATiD supplies, ensuring they arrive on time for Monday class and are organized and ready to distribute.
  • Assist in scheduling BM/Hebrew students with their tutor.
  • Process payments to vendors and maintain budget spending progress for events and supplies.
  • Process payroll for all part-time staff by submitting hours and rates to department’s Administrative Director on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Maintain filing systems and student records in database for ATiD and Derekh Torah including online registration.
  • Create contracts for special guests and musicians and submit vendor invoices for payments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education, Skills and Experience

  • Strong administrative skills accompanied with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and database systems.
  • Previous experience working in administrative capacity with keen attention to detail required.
  • Effective team worker who can demonstrate a collaborative approach when working with colleagues along with the ability to work independently.
  • Professionalism and maturity, a proactive attitude, and a strong work ethic are expectations for this position.
  • Excellent interpersonal & assertiveness skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
