  • Position Summary

    The Assistant Manager is responsible for a broad range of activities in support of the construction and maintenance projects across 92Y. The Assistant Manager will oversee the workflow of projects assigned to the Project Management team. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient completion of project work in a timely and cost-effective manner.

    Essential Functions

    • Manage the Building Project Management team’s work flow to ensure that all projects are addressed and responded to in a timely manner.
    • Process Capital expense invoices via Blackbaud Web invoicing.
    • In collaboration with the Director, Building Operations and Engineering, manage all project budget accounting.
    • Collaborate with 92Y’s Financial Management Office to ensure proper expense allocation.
    • Proactively communicate with all internal stakeholders on the status of projects, ensuring that communications are timely and professional.
    • Coordinate communications with 92Y’s external community regarding project status to ensure that patrons are informed about project timelines and potential impacts on services and class offerings.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for scheduling and building access.
    • Coordinate with internal Building System team for project resource allocation and support.
    • Ensure all vendors and contractors COIs are up-dated.
    • Ensure all construction permits are posted in compliance with applicable laws.
    • Assist with the production and issuance of RFPs.
    • Assist with bids leveling analysis.
    • Undertake other related duties as assigned.

    Education, Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 2-3 years working experience in construction project management environment.
    • Experience working in a customer service focused organization.
    • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
    • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
    • Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
    • Working knowledge of CAD preferred.
    • Proficiency in MS Project

    Hours

    Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm
