Job Summary

The Development team at 92NY is seeking a detail and process oriented individual to manage donation processing and gift reporting for the Development department. The individual taking on this position is walking into 92NY at a thrilling time as we are preparing to celebrate the organization’s 150th anniversary, during which this position will be intricately involved in leveraging the database to ensure data accuracy and integrity across fundraising efforts in partnership with various Development team members.

 

The Development team at 92NY is a dynamic group of highly skilled, goal focused individuals who, alongside program partners, continue achieving fundraising success by creating ways to inspires support across the institution. The incumbent of this position plays an important role in supporting all areas of fundraising to reach the right audiences to inspire support.

Reporting to the Director, Development Operations and Research, the Associate, Development Operations serves as the primary gift processor and supports the general operations of the Development office.

 

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Responsible for all gift and membership processing including, entering donations into Tessitura, updating membership records, and serving as primary contact with Development staff to ensure donor intent and proper coding of gifts.
  • Ensure data integrity by updating all donor information upon gift entry including mailing and email addresses, household information, crediting names and other categories as needed.
  • Assist the Manager, Development Database Operations as needed with delivering end of day reports and assist with the completion of any required reconciliation including the production of daily posting reports.
  • Manage all acknowledgement data and distribute acknowledgement reports in accordance with established protocol. Maintain up to date understanding of required acknowledgement types.
  • Fulfill Development team requests by using Tessitura database to pull data; generate reports; and input, gather and distribute information.
  • Help maintain database accuracy and integrity by reconciling donor/constituent data and making necessary adjustments to records in a timely manner.
  • Assist with monitoring database compliance.
  • Provide backup support for the Development office and other related tasks as needed.

Experience, Education, & Skills Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • One to two years’ experience, in the non-profit, fundraising sector preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Quick learner, tech savvy, comfortable learning new skills.
  • Non-profit/fundraising database software, Tessitura experience preferred.
  • Team oriented attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management, problem solving and communication skills.

Work Environment & Requirements

Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM or 9:00AM to 6:00PM, with a 60-minute meal break.

 

Some flexibility in scheduling is required to accommodate attending events, especially weekends and evenings when necessary.

 

This position is approved to utilize a hybrid working model which is subject to change in the future.

Compensation Range

$58,000 - $62,000

 

The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
