The Social Media Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Social Media, will develop and implement social media content to drive social media engagement and program registrations for our Craig Newmark Civic Life Series programs. This role requires a deep understanding of various social media platforms, their algorithms, and trends. The ideal candidate will excel in content creation for platforms like Instagram and TikTok, and is a super user of analytics, design and video editing tools.
The Craig Newmark Civic Life Series features lectures and conversations with leading experts exploring pro-democracy efforts at this critical moment in the US and around the world. With 2024 being a critical election year, both domestically and globally, this series, supported by Craig Newmark Philanthropies, will showcase prominent voices discussing topics important to our local, state and national elections and their broader implications for democracy in the US and worldwide.
Work Hours and Environment
16.5 hours per week; schedule to be worked out with manager.
Per Diem Compensation
$30/hour
The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
