Job Summary

92NY Gymnastics is home to a thriving Xcel (Bronze–Diamond) competitive team and a dynamic recreational gymnastics program serving children as young as 1 year old through adults. Join a fun, family-focused gym that fosters a supportive, positive environment for both staff and families. We are currently hiring year-round competitive and recreational gymnastics coaches. Our Fall semester begins on September 14th.

 

Opportunities are available every day of the week, including weekend birthday parties! Training is available, though experienced coaches and teachers are preferred. Candidates must have experience working with children. We offer flexible scheduling with no minimum hour requirement, competitive pay, and the opportunity to grow within a welcoming and collaborative team.

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Responsible for safety and oversight of recreational and/or competitive gymnasts at all times, including appropriate spotting techniques.
  • Deliver age-appropriate curriculum and working knowledge of equipment set-up and break-down.
  • Responsible for spotting correctly, as needed
  • Attend and participate in Staff Meetings and Trainings.
  • Track athlete attendance and report any issues or incidents to supervisor immediately.
  • Greet all children and families with a positive attitude and deliver a fun experience on a daily basis.
  • Complete athlete progress charts on a regular basis and communicate level recommendations to respective families.
  • Participate in class exhibitions and parent observations.
  • Team Only – responsible for attending competitive meets.

Experience, Education, & Skills Desired

  • USA Gymnastics Instructor or Professional certification preferred.
  • HS Diploma required - Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Prior coaching experience preferred.
  • USA Gymnastics certification preferred.
  • CPR certification required within 6 months of hire date which 92NY can support with.

Per Diem Compensation Range

$20 - $35/hour

 

The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
