92NY Athletics is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting three in-the-city summer camps this year, from June 27th to August 16th.  We are looking for charismatic, experienced, professional teachers and coaches who have a passion for educating children to join our team! We are particularly interested in hiring sports and art instructors, along with experienced nursery school teachers.  Additionally, we have opportunities for camp counselors, and for those interested, there are year-round opportunities available for athletics instructors.     Adventure Clubhouse (3-5 years) We are seeking nursery teachers or individuals with teaching experience, along with sports and art instructors, to assist our youngest summer campers.  Your role would involve fostering socialization, teaching important concepts like transitions and sharing, supervising specialized activities, and ensuring a secure and inviting atmosphere for children and their families. We offer flexible schedules from 8:45 AM-12:30 PM or 8:45 AM-3 PM, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking half-day employment!    Fantastic Gymnastics Camp for Competitive Team & Recreational Students We are seeking experienced competitive team and recreational coaches to support this incredible 9 AM-5 PM camp. There are ample coaching opportunities for the year as well! Activities include field trips, ample gymnastics, dance, sports, art, swimming and more! USA Gymnastics certification preferred.    Parkour & Sports Adventure Camp We are seeking experienced sports coaches and/or counselors to support this action-packed, acrobatic camp from 9 AM-5 PM. 92NY School Engagement in the Arts is one of New York City’s largest community arts education providers, creating dynamic programs, performances and talks for thousands of K-12 students and their teachers each year across the boroughs.   We are currently seeking applications for Teaching Artists’ Assistants for our Summer 2024 Young Writers Workshop. 92NY’s Young Writers Workshop gathers talented teen writers from all over the country for warm, supportive workshops in fiction, non-fiction, and poetry with some of NYC’s best creative writing teachers. This summer, the Young Writers’ Workshop will put high-school students, ages 15-18, at the center of the creative process. Led by experienced instructors who are also established authors, students will explore the originality of their own voices through a three-week, multi-genre intensive that combines close reading, guided exercises and creative problem-solving in a nurturing, inspiring environment.   Each cohort of students will be led by one teaching artist and one teaching artist’s assistant. Teaching Artists’ Assistants will be responsible for supporting and collaborating with their assigned Teaching Artist in developing and leading all lessons for their respective cohorts. Teaching Artists’ Assistants will also be responsible for leading and facilitating the lunchtime conversation between the students and a visiting author.   The Workshop will meet for three weeks in July and focus on one genre per week:   Poetry: July 8–12 Fiction: July 15–29 Creative Nonfiction: July 22–25   In the morning session (10 am–12 pm), two groups of 10-15 students read and discuss excerpts of celebrated works of literature then participate in writing exercises connected to their reading. Roundtable workshops take place after lunch (1–3 pm). Each week will also feature a lunchtime meeting with a visiting author. We are recruiting Teaching Artist Assistants who are available to teach in-person in NYC.

The Program Coordinator supports the Director in all programming aspects of the 92NY’s School Engagement in the Arts, which creates dynamic arts education programs for K-12 students and teachers in a range of arts disciplines, including music, dance, literature and visual art and design. The Director will maximize opportunities for unrestricted philanthropic revenue while simultaneously prioritizing identifying new donors for organizational priorities.  This position will play a critical role in driving the Foundation and Corporate Philanthropy unit’s total fundraising revenues forward, while personally managing a portfolio of donors and prospects with five-to-six figure capacity. The Director will be the leading author of grant proposals, steward and manage relationships, participate in prospect research and the identification of new and diverse donors with significant capacity. Qualified candidates will have a history as an experienced, front-line institutional giving development professional who is both innovative and energetic and who functions well in a fast-paced team environment.
