The School Engagement Programs Assistant supports the School Engagement in the Arts Department’s initiatives by assisting the Associate Directors with the daily operations of arts education programs across NYC schools. This role ensures smooth communication, coordination, and logistics for arts programming and events involving students, teaching artists, and school stakeholders.

The Mechanic Supervisor will oversee and supervise all aspects of the general mechanic operation as well as assist with the supervision of HVAC as needed. The nature of this position regularly requires emergency response after hours with the Mechanic Supervisor being required to respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day. Responsibilities will include maintaining, installing and repairing existing or new HVAC, electrical, door hardware, and plumbing equipment as well as general carpentry, painting and spackling.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer and in close collaboration with the SVP, Development and the Senior Director, Special Events, the Senior Director, Individual Giving and Membership, is responsible for raising close to $1,000,000 annually through direct mail, digital giving and other marketing materials by sustaining and upgrading current donors, prospecting for new donors and converting donors to members where appropriate. 92NY’s School Engagement in the Arts seeks dynamic, experienced Dance Teaching Artists for its 2025–2026 Discover Dance program. Teaching Artists will lead 18 in-school dance lessons per class at partnering NYC elementary schools (Grades 2, 3, and 6), guiding students through an active exploration of various movement styles. We are seeking educators with expertise in Hip-Hop, Breakdance, House, and Tap dance. The program includes two culminating performances at 92NY featuring renowned guest artists.   Schedule:

The Swim Instructor maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, on the deck, and the surrounding areas. This position will teach youth and adults the fundamentals of swimming, and water safety. The Swim Instructor will create a positive atmosphere that promotes swimmer safety and engagement in accordance with 92NY policies and procedures.

The Afterschool Counselor is responsible for picking up children from their respective schools and bringing them to their 92NY Afterschool Clubhouse rooms (classrooms divided by grade). They will be responsible for the general safety, development, and growth of the children as well as supporting them with their homework.  The counselor will provide quality educational and recreational experiences.   Afterschool’s year runs from September 8th- June 12th.

The Nursery School After-School Counselor is responsible for picking up children from 92NY Nursery Classrooms and bringing them to their 92NY After-School enrichment activities. They will also be responsible for the general safety and development, growth, and class support of the participants.  The incumbent will provide high-quality educational and recreational experiences for participants.  

Join 92NY Athletics as a Tennis Instructor for children ages 5-12! We are looking for enthusiastic, patient, and experienced instructors to work with young players in a supportive and engaging after-school environment. Program runs from September 2025 – January 2026, with an option to extend from February – June 2026. Mandatory training sessions will be held prior to the start of the program.

Reporting to the May Center Executive Director, the Director of Aquatics will be responsible for the leadership, daily operations, departmental development and management of the Operations management team and the Aquatics division of the May Center to maximize operational efficiencies, safety and patron/member experience; while supporting program participation, member retention and Center profitability.

We are seeking instructors certified to teach Primary Group Exercise (Body Conditioning/Strength), Aquasize, Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, Spin, Aerobics (including step) and Body Conditioning. 92NY Group Exercise provides a supportive environment for staff and patrons.   Minimum of 6 months teaching experience required. Must hold relevant certification. No minimum hours.

92NY’s Art Center offers a wide variety of afterschool and weekend visual art classes for children/teens ages 4 – 17. The Art Center welcomes over 300 children and teens each semester with classes led by Teaching Artists. The 92NY’s Art Center Teaching Assistant Program offers participants a hands-on classroom experience that provides tools and techniques for working in the field of visual art education. Classes run from September to January and then from January until mid June. 

Cleans and services building area, moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around the building, and performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain the 92nd Street Y in an orderly and sanitary condition.
