Reporting to the Vice President, Foundation and Corporate Philanthropy, the Associate Director, Institutional Giving will take a leadership role in the creation, planning and execution of institutional fundraising strategies for annual giving, priority initiatives and 92NY programs from foundation and corporate sources. The Associate Director will bring a high level of creativity, energy and leadership to this role and be an active thought partner in developing strategic solutions to grow and diversify institutional revenue. The Swim Instructor maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, on the deck, and the surrounding areas. This position will teach youth and adults the fundamentals of swimming, and water safety. The Swim Instructor will create a positive atmosphere that promotes swimmer safety and engagement in accordance with 92NY policies and procedures.
The Afterschool Counselor is responsible for picking up children from their respective schools and bringing them to their 92NY Afterschool Clubhouse rooms (classrooms divided by grade). They will be responsible for the general safety, development, and growth of the children as well as supporting them with their homework. The counselor will provide quality educational and recreational experiences.
Afterschool’s year runs from September 8th- June 12th.
Reporting to the May Center Executive Director, the Director of Aquatics will be responsible for the leadership, daily operations, departmental development and management of the Operations management team and the Aquatics division of the May Center to maximize operational efficiencies, safety and patron/member experience; while supporting program participation, member retention and Center profitability.
92NY’s Art Center offers a wide variety of afterschool and weekend visual art classes for children/teens ages 4 – 17. The Art Center welcomes over 300 children and teens each semester with classes led by Teaching Artists. The 92NY’s Art Center Teaching Assistant Program offers participants a hands-on classroom experience that provides tools and techniques for working in the field of visual art education. Classes run from September to January and then from January until mid June.
Cleans and services building area, moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around the building, and performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain the 92nd Street Y in an orderly and sanitary condition.
