92NY’s Art Center offers a wide variety of afterschool and weekend visual art classes for children/teens ages 4 – 17. The Art Center welcomes over 300 children and teens each semester with classes led by Teaching Artists. The 92NY’s Art Center Teaching Assistant Program offers participants a hands-on classroom experience that provides tools and techniques for working in the field of visual art education. Classes run from September to January and then from January until mid June.
The Senior Studio Technician is responsible for overseeing and addressing the maintenance and operational needs of the Jewelry Center’s four studios. As the liaison between students, faculty, the Art Center office, and the Senior Director of Jewelry, the technician will ensure the smooth communication and coordination of the Jewelry center. The Nursery School After-School Counselor is responsible for picking up children from 92NY Nursery Classrooms and bringing them to their 92NY After-School enrichment activities. This role will also be responsible for the general safety, development, growth, and class support of the participants. The Counselor will provide high-quality educational and recreational experiences for participants.
Cleans and services building area, moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around the building, and performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain the 92nd Street Y in an orderly and sanitary condition.

The Parenting Center at the 92nd Street Y has positions available for part-time, per diem staff members to teach independently and in teams. The Parenting Center runs classes for children, parents and caregivers. Based on interest and expertise, teachers can lead and support in the delivery of play-based classes for children 2.5 years and younger. Our programs include play groups, separation classes (full-year, drop-off programs) and talks for expecting and new parents.
